The Shimano SH-ME702 SPD Shoes are designed to be the ultimate option for tough, technical terrain and serious Enduro racing. The shoes are armoured for extra protection from trailside objects and the inevitable crashes and the stretch neoprene ankle collar helps to prevent all that annoying dirt and pebbles from getting inside the shoe. The sole stiffness rates an 8-11 on Shimano's stiffness scale to provide excellent pedalling efficiency while the TORBAL torsional midsole allows your feet to move naturally on the descents for optimal flow. The speed lacing system securely fits a wide range of foot shapes and the low-profile, reverse mount buckle securely holds the upper foot.
Who's It For: The ME702 is the perfect choice for Enduro racers and anyone looking for performance footwear that provides some extra protection while still being comfortable enough to wear all day.
Pedal Interface: These are clipless and will be compatible with any brand/model of MTB cleats.
Closure: The lower foot is secured via a speed-lacing system while the upper foot is held in place with a low profile, reverse mount buckle.
Upper Materials: High-density synthetic leather with perforation improves fit and breathability. A neoprene ankle collar keeps the trail debris out.
Sole Materials: Carbon fibre composite reinforced midsole for power transfer. The sole stiffness rates an 8-11 on Shimano's stiffness scale for excellent pedalling efficiency. TORBAL Torsional midsole designed to feel natural and not feel like you're standing on wooden blocks on the descents.
Sole Type: Michelin outsole with a new rubber compound to offer superior traction, durability, stability, and slip resistance.
Last Type: The ME702 uses Shimano's Volume+ Last which provides 5% extra volume in the toe box to accommodate a wider range of foot shapes without affecting shoe length.
Weight: 387g (Size 42)
Cleats: Fits any 2 hole MTB Style Cleat. Cleats are not included.

- SamVerified BuyerI recommend this productRated 5 stars1 month agoSuper comfortable shoes
My old Shimano SPD shoes have lasted 15+ years, can't comment on the longevity of these yet. But straight out of the box these are super comfortable shoes, like putting on your favourite pair of slippers. Neoprene cuff probably helps the comfy feel and great at keeping debris out of your shoes. Tensioning is simple and effective, I've spent long days in these shoes, so comfortable I don't want to take them off at the end of the day
