The new Deore range benefits from the trickle-down of technology from Shimano's flagship models and the RD-M6100 12-speed derailleur provides fast, precise shifting and smooth and silent operation in all positions over rough terrain. The larger 13T jockey wheels increase efficiency and chain management and the low profile design tucks it out of the way to avoid damage from rocks. Cross-compatible with all Shimano 12-speed drivetrain components.
Who's this item for: This derailleur is recommended for use with the Deore M6100 drivetrain but it's a great choice for anyone that running a Shimano 12 speed setup and needs to replace their derailleur.
Number of gears: This is a 12-speed derailleur.
Weight: Approx 320g
Materials: Painted aluminium and stainless steel.
Chain and cassette compatibility: Cross-compatible with other Shimano 12 speed chains and cassettes.
Max cassette range: 51t
Clutch style: The clutch can be switched on and off and the tension can be adjusted internally.
Cage length: Long cage (SGS) only.
Jockey wheel tooth count (top / bottom): Both jockey wheels are 13t and spin on bushings.
Pros: The same technology and shifting performance as you'd find on Shimano's top-end offerings at a fraction of the price.
Cons: Slight weight penalty when compared to Shimano's high-end offerings.
