KS E20 Remote External Cable Dropper Post

I was looking for a dropper post for my 2009 Giant Alias, so needed an externally routed cable. This was my first dropper, so I didn't want to overspend but also didn't want to buy a no-name brand that failed. After researching, the KS E20 seemed well-priced, a good entry for me and MTB Direct had it on sale. I've had the dropper for a few weeks now and it seems well made, sturdy and met my expectations. So, all-in-all, I am very happy with the product to date. I did struggle to install though with the cable length set at the post making it fiddly and the instructions not giving an inner cable cut length. Also, the inner cable splayed once cut making it difficult to feed into the hook so the addition of a crimp-on ferrule in the kit would have been good. Lastly, instructions on fitting the protective cover were confusing and not intuitive, but I figured it out by pulling down on the outer sheath 5mm enabled the cover spigot to engage and clip in, so all good after that.
