Dollars For Dirt - November 2017

Dollars For Dirt

Each month, we select three groups who are doing excellent things in MTB in Australia. We put $600 on the table, and we ask our customers to vote to decide who gets the funds. Each group gets at least $150, but the group with the highest votes at the end of the month scores $300!

Check out the groups for November 2017:

Warrenbayne Bike Park (VIC)

"We are a group of passionate mountain bikers that decided to go full potato and sell everything we had and bought 370 acres of profound land to build a paradise for mountain bikers. All the money will go to building tracks, excavator time, fuel, tools etc."

Erina High School Bush Turkeys MTB club (NSW)

"We have a core of super keen kids that want to ride all the time. They are awesome advocates for mountain bike riding in their school community, and are developing great leadership skills in the MTB area, not just at or school, but with all our partner primary schools. They are always looking for ways to ride in school time, and we have started building our own track in the school grounds. This will be used to build our own skills, and coach other people from the local area. We would get some help building our track. We would use the money to hire a bobcat operator to cut in our track. We already have some people interested in helping for free, but they are busy and we would like to make it worth their while."

Castle Hill Trail Alliance (QLD)

"We maintain the trails at Castle Hill - Blackstone, Ipswich, keeping it rough and raw It could mean more tools, or even the start of a new trail... Never know what's planned for the hill..."
