Calling all XC and marathon racers, the BikeYoke Divine SL Dropper Post is here and it is an incredible dropper post for those XC rigs. The internally routed dropper is currently the lightest production dropper post on the market and has a length of 400mm and 80mm infinite drop.
It has a brilliant "Tech-Climb" feature that when not in the top or bottom position, the post can slightly spring in the middle positions. This is awesome for filtering the impacts of roots and rocks. Once fully extended or fully dropped, the post is rigid again.
The Divine SL also allows you to cut the total length of the post down to 283mm if your frame and setup required.
In The Box:
- 1x DIVINE SL Seatpost
- 1x Cable housing 1500mm
- 1x Inner wire 1700mm
- 2x Endcap
Specs:
- Titanium saddle bolts
- Carbon and oval rail compatible forged clamping plates
- Tapered tubes
- Weight - 385g (30.9/400mm), 404g (31.6/400mm)

Some sorting out, but now it’s DIVINE!
by Cam
On paper, the Divine SL ticked all the boxes I wanted ticked to suit my XC Carbon hardtail. The post is nicely made and for my bike, the 100mm option is proving to be a good choice.
The cable actuation design is a compromise to reduce weight, because it does away with the levers and mechanisms common to other posts. That’s ok as long as you are happy to accept a bit more force on you dropper lever.
After a couple of rides I replaced the cable which came with the post and fitted a quality Shimano XT inner and outer. The supplied one had quite a bit of friction. Getting the cable run right is critical to getting the best performance from this post.
I’m using a Wolf Tooth Light Action lever. Actuation of the dropper works well with the Wolf Tooth. I’ve also tried a Shimano lever, but the Wolf is better (less actuation force).
Overall, the post works well and definitely makes an XC hardtail more fun to ride.
Game changing for XC

This piece of kit has been the biggest game changer of my mountain biking life! It has turned my XC dually race bike into a bike that now rails tight corners and steep decents much faster than ever imagined. In my opinion its the perfect compromise for a racer who wants to be able to tackle the ever increasing technicality of XC whilst maintaining a light, agile bike for the climbs. Obviously it is not a 150mm dropper suitable for all mountain or enduro bikes but 80mm drop is plenty enough to get the seat out of the way for terrain that you would expect to tackle on a 100mm travel bike (and maybe a bit more) and the weight penalty is so small when the post is trimmed. So far have spent four solid days riding in wet conditions in Derby TAS and the pist performed flawlessly. This product has impressed me so much I felt like I needed to write my first ever review!
